The Discipline
A processing facility is not a shed. An abattoir is graded and inspected, a dairy has hygiene and effluent requirements written into its operating licence, and a facility that cannot pass inspection cannot trade. That turns an agricultural project into a compliance exercise as much as a construction one.
Unicon has delivered a high-throughput abattoir for a provincial department, dairy and farm infrastructure, a saw mill processing line and irrigation canal work. The common thread is a client who needs the facility to work operationally on day one, not just to be complete.

Who We Build For
Method
Throughput, grading level, hygiene zoning and effluent limits determine the layout. Fixing these late is the most expensive mistake on an agri project.
Rails, chillers, tanks and process lines have bases, service points and tolerances. We work off the supplier's data, not a generic drawing.
Structure, envelope and the drainage falls and coving that make a wash-down facility work. Falls cannot be corrected afterwards.
Water, power, refrigeration, effluent and hygienic finishes, installed in the sequence that keeps the finished surfaces intact.
Wet commissioning, hygiene sign-off and handover with the operator and the authority in the room.
Capacity
We self-perform the work that carries the risk and subcontract the rest to an approved vendor list. What follows is the plant and capability this discipline draws on.
