We can tell within a paragraph whether someone has looked at what we build. The applications that get our attention refer to actual work — a reservoir, a bridge, a treatment works — and explain where the person sees themselves in it.

How we treat safety, quality and the people on our sites. If you disagree with any of it, this is the moment to find out rather than six months in.

We advertise here first, and only when a role genuinely exists. Rather than list vacancies we cannot fill, this page stays empty until we are hiring.
You are still welcome to introduce yourself. We keep speculative applications on file and revisit them when a site or a discipline needs someone, so a considered introduction now is often how people end up joining.
How to introduce yourselfThe Process
Four steps, and a person reads every application. We would rather take longer and place someone properly than fill a seat.

A CV, and a short covering note that names the work you are interested in and why. The note matters more than the CV.

Against current and expected work. If there is no fit now we keep it on file rather than discard it, and we will say so.

Usually with the person who would manage you. Expect questions about specific problems you have solved on site, not abstractions.

For site-based roles you will walk a live project before either side commits. You should know what you are joining.

Where We Recruit
Bulk water is the largest part of what we do, so that is where we hire most often. Roles range from site agents and foremen to engineers, quantity surveyors and plant operators.
The People We Keep
Not as paperwork. On a live site, in a trench or on scaffolding, the person beside you is relying on your judgement.
Water-retaining structures do not forgive shortcuts. A reservoir either holds or it does not, and it will be inspected for decades.
We would rather grow a good foreman into a site agent than hire a stranger into the role. Say what you want to be doing in five years.
Our sites are rural as often as urban — river crossings, mountain reservoirs, municipal treatment works. Be honest with yourself about that.
