Project Overview

What Was Built.

The Invesco Centre in Pietermaritzburg is a three-storey retail building of roughly 17,000 m². It combines basement parking, ground-floor shop space and first-floor office and restaurant space, a stacked layout that puts the weight of the structure squarely on the concrete frame.

Unicon took the contract in a joint venture with Carlos Da Costa Building and constructed all of the concrete structural works. The programme ran for twenty months, from April 2008, under JBCC Series 4.
